Jeff is a former senior editor at tech publications Decrypt and Future. He has bylines in Fortune, Sunset, and Via and is a regular contributor to FrontOfficeSports.com, where he writes about sports media, gaming, and private equity. He holds a bachelor’s degree in politics from Willamette University (where he served as the campus film critic) and a master’s degree in nationalism studies from the University of Edinburgh. After nearly a decade teaching English in Japan and Sudan and developing communications materials in Uganda for international NGOs, he relocated to Reno to start a family and build his freelance writing career. He remains in northern Nevada, where he writes about film, finance, sports, and (occasionally) where to find good marmalade in small towns.
