I was lucky enough to check out this new film last week in Catching Dust, and I was even more fortunate to get a chance to talk with the writer/director of the film Stuart Gatt, and star Erin Moriarty.
Normally, I'd cut the part at the beginning of a recording when the guests and I are just riffing, but I thought it was entertaining discourse from start to finish; so I decided to keep it in. Five years from now, Stuart Gatt is going to be a major player in Hollywood, keep an eye on this dude, he's going to be so flippin special.

Zoe Eisenberg makes her feature debut with Chaperone, which stars Mitzi Akaha & Laird Akeo who play Misha and Jake respectively.
At 29 going on 16, Misha refuses to evolve or grow up. She's had chances to move up at her job but refuses to due to the additional responsibility, and her home, which she received through an inheritance, is literally falling apart. Through a chance encounter, she meets Jake, and as they continue to hang out, she's forced to address some ethical questions that become increasingly difficult to ignore.

Fun fact about me, I was supposed to work at a Blockbuster Video when I first moved to the West Coast, but the store closed down two weeks before I was supposed to start; still bums me out because I would've ruled working at a Blockbuster.
This movie has.......so much going on in the best way.
Isaiah Lehtinen is an absolute standout in this, and Romina D'Ugo(let's get her in all the things), is an amazing co-star, and the way their relationship evolves.......just....just watch the movie.
